Las Hermanitas Immigrant Resource Fund is a grassroots organization that was established to meet immigrants in the Pittsburgh region where they are. We are a non-profit organization that is completely volunteer based.

We recognize that Pittsburgh is home to more than 26 vibrant immigrant communities, and that the exorbitant costs associated with navigating the U.S. immigration system can be overwhelming—often determining whether someone can fight their case or not.

Through our financial assistance application, we help cover interpretation and translation services to ensure trauma-informed language access, as well as critical filing fees for asylum applications, work permits, appeals, motions before the Immigration Court or the Board of Immigration Appeals, and other essential relief. We hope to provide funding support to retain legal counsel when necessary to challenge unlawful detention—so that no one has to face the system alone.

Do you want to help your immigrant neighbors?

If you are someone with privilege who sees how immigrants are being impacted by the current state of immigration law, you can help. Supporting immigrant neighbors does not require direct interaction with immigration or removal enforcement officers.

You can make a donation to help cover these urgent costs, which may be deducted as a charitable contribution under IRC Section 170. Our EIN is 41-4011139.

If you are interested in getting involved beyond donating, please sign up to volunteer—we are always looking for committed community members to support this work.
